Sennheiser HME 95 Headset About Noiseguard 2.0NoiseGuard 2.0 was developed by Sennheiser especially for general aviation and is used in most cockpits around the world today. With NoiseGuard 2.0 sound waves in the low frequency range are simply cancelled out by their own phase inversion (phase inverted sound). To do this, tiny microphones first pick up ambient noise. The NoiseGuard electronic circuitry then produces a sound waver that is phase inverted by 180 to the disruptive sound with the result that both sound waves practically cancel each other out. Sounds such as music or speech on the other hand are reproduced practically unchanged and can thus be excellently understood. Communication with air traffic control is therefore considerably easier. In this way NoiseGuard 2.0 guarantees you quiet and thus safe flying. NoiseGuard 2.0 optimizes the NoiseGuard principle through the use of even more powerful processors and improved microphones for detailed pick-up of the disruptive sound. With the help of matching filters, increased active noise compensation of up to 90% is achieved. For more information on the Sennheiser Headsets, please see www.sennheiserusa.com
